CORONA CARE- THE GIFT OF FREE GROCERIES

Giving is not just about making a donation, it is about making a difference.

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more. That's exactly what our team had the opportunity to do the past three weeks during this pandemic. Dr. Ratan K. Ahuja and Dr. Karuna Ahuja gave our team at the Florida Cardiopulmonary Center the opportunity to give back to the community in a time of need with their generous donations. Everyday our team worked diligently to make our gift of groceries event a success. Each morning cars would line up to receive the grocery donations from our staff. The team at Florida Cardiopulmonary Center wanted to make sure each bag was prepared with love and thoughtfulness. We were able to help a total of 1,753 families by giving out groceries to the greater community. This event truly showed us how giving is not just about making a donation, it is about making a difference.

Community Outreach

Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people can transform the world. That's why our team made starting over bins for the SafeHouse of Seminole. Starting over is hard especially during a pandemic. COVID-19 creates added danger for women in homes with domestic violence. For many home isn't a safe place but the SafeHouse of Seminole provides hope for the future. Our starting over bins will make transitioning easier for these survivors. Our team also had the opportunity of traveling to The Family Renew Community in Deland, Holly Hill and Daytona. The Family Renew Community gives homeless families with children a safe, stable place to live while parents work to attain permanent housing and become self-supporting. That’s why we wanted to help their amazing staff on restoring hope to homeless families with our gift of groceries and hygiene kits for the entire family. Our next adventure was bringing our gift of groceries to the Goldsboro Elementary Magnet School to help provide the kids at their school with more food so they can receive a meal each day. There’s nothing more rewarding then giving back and making a difference in the lives of people in the great community.
